Meeting with Hon Health Minister of Uttarakhand

Dr. Kumar B V, Chief Technical Officer & Vice President (R & D) met and discussed with the Honourable Minister for Health, Mr. Surendra Singh Negi, on March 6th, 2014, on the range of products and services of AKOS Health Systems. The minister was particularly appreciative of the mission and vision directions AKOS stood for, and indicated that such IT products and services help in managing health care in an effective manner. AKOS continues to invest in newer and cost effective products and services for improving and managing healthcare.

AKOS team participated in FICCI Heal 2013 held at Delhi

FICCI Heal 2013, an annual healthcare conference by FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) with theme "Sustainable Quality Healthcare".

One of the major subject discussed was 'Information Technology in Healthcare'. Also addressing the key issues in Healthcare like the hospital operations, infrastructure , planning, etc and creating a suitable platform for constructive dialogue that work towards the betterment of the Healthcare sector.

The Conference had national and international leaders from healthcare and associated industries with participation of delegates from India and abroad.

'Bangalore IT Biz Conference' Ms Rathna Prasad was invited as a speaker for 'Bangalore IT Biz Conference'.

Ms Rathna Prasad, President & CFO of AKOS Health Systems, was invited as the chief guest at the Women's Day celebration in Sivananda Sarma Memorial RV [SSMRV] College, Bangalore.
The day was filled with wonderful events, including a beautiful exhibition on lives of great women, organized by a team of dedicated women from "Women's Empowerment" club, convened by Ms. Ruksana. SSMRV college students and staff, all clad in pink for the special day created a "happy garden of pink roses" in the auditorium, and along with the parents, were warmly welcomed by the inspiring leader of the college, the Principal, Dr. (Mrs) Yashoda. In honor of Women's Day, Ms. Rathna Prasad, shared her views in a friendly & encouraging address, followed by a short & stirring poetic talk by Dr. Maheswara Kasinadhuni and a humor-sprinkled recollection of the three women who influenced his life, by Dr. (Major) Srinivasa Murthy. The lively event was compered by Ms. Jyothi Iyengar, starting with a sweet invocation by two SSMRV students, and concluded with a lovely vote-of-thanks by Ms. Catherine. It was a memorable occasion, beautifully conducted under the leadership of Dr. Yashoda and her active team of staff and students! AKOS Health System leaders, Dr. M.P. Kasinadhuni and Ms. Rathna Prasad were delighted to meet with His Excellency, Governor of Karnataka, Dr H R Bharadwaj at Raj Bhavan in Bangalore on March 23rd, 2013.
The Governor was pleased with the AKOS goals of harnessing Technology to Healthcare, and indicated the urgent need to use Information Technology to enhance Healthcare Research in India. The AKOS Team was happy to share the Vision and Mission of AKOS Health Systems with His Excellency and receive his blessings for continued progress and success in improving Health across the world through innovative software and research tools for the use of doctors and healthcare professionals at the point of patient care.
